Julie and Taylor’s Engagement Session at Hanging Rock State Park Waterfalls

A few months ago I got a text from Julie with a huge announcement – she is getting married! I was so excited. I have known Julie for many years and had even done her Lacrosse and Senior photos in high school. She is such an amazing young woman, so I knew anybody that had stolen her heart would be amazing, too! When I finally got to meet Taylor, I wasn’t wrong. He is so caring, and oh my gosh, so funny! Taylor is currently working for the Air Force while Julie finishes nursing school. We can’t wait for their beachside wedding in just a few weeks!

Julie told me she wanted very casual, fun engagement photos – she was speaking my language. They love to travel and go on adventures, so I knew Hanging Rock would be the perfect spot for them. They decided that exploring the waterfalls at the Upper and Lower Cascades sounded more exciting, so we stuck to that plan instead of climbing to the summit. I am not disappointed. This has been one of my most favorite engagement sessions ever!

Our first stop was the Rock Garden before heading to the Upper Cascades. The first few minutes of the shoot are usually a little awkward while we are teaching you some core poses, but these two jumped right in!

This afternoon glow was so dreamy! I could not have asked for better light during their session!

Down at the Lower Cascades is where things started to get a little steamy! But even so, we were laughing and having so much fun the entire time!
