Blue Winter Wedding Dreams at the Loralei Inn, Asheville Wedding

Blue wedding details were huge in 2021!

Jessica and Nick held the blue winter wedding of their dreams at the Loralei Inn in Canton, NC just outside of Asheville.

One of my favorite personal touches was this elegant blue cake by Verbena Events. The wrapped sugar is a great alternative for those of us who don’t like fondant, but still want an elegant finish. And of course I have to mention the gold edging and foiling details – such a beautiful touch!

My favorite detail is probably Jessica’s hair. Haley Garber is a hair wizard, y’all! She was able to create these floral details with Jessica’s actual hair! (No – these are note extensions or clip ins!) She loves to create art on wedding days, but is also a phenomenal teacher that loves to share how-to’s on her social media profiles!

Jessica also captured the two-piece tulle skirt trend so well! This blue, fluffy skirt was do feminine and fun. The top piece was covered in a beautiful lace detail and had a corset back for the perfect fit! The fur wrap was the perfect coverup for this look.

Simple green florals by Sweet T Flowers gave this look a fresh finish.

The grand front veranda of the Loralei Inn helped us create these beautiful portraits while being shaded from the harsh winter sun. Many people don’t realize that the sun from December through March in North Carolina creates a very harsh light due to the angle of the sun. If you are planning a winter wedding in Asheville, keep the lighting in mind.

The bride switched to a leather jacket for an edgier (and warmer!) look.

And of course I can’t forget Nick! Give me a groom that is willing to be a goofy hype man any day! His slim fit suit created the perfect silhouette and his floral tie was the perfect compliment to Jessica’s color scheme.
