Lindsay and Gerik were married just a few weeks ago at Willstella Farm in Kernersville. We were able to meet up for their engagement session in Downtown Greensboro earlier this year. Greensboro is a very special city for them both, even though they now live in another state. They have many wonderful memories here and we wanted to make sure they made more during their session!
The two of them braved the cold with us on this chilly, March evening. We started at Center City Park in downtown Greensboro for their engagement session. We were glad to see the fountains still flowing, despite the cold temperature. We walked down Elm street looking for spots full of warm, glowy light. We found a favorite location, the street just by the Civil Rights Museum. This street is painted with turquoise and orange hexagons. These colors were used to represent the lunch counter of the Woolworth’s where the sit-ins were held. This day, the brightly colored road made an excellent backdrop for some fun prompts.
We headed quickly back to the parking deck for golden hour. Lindsay and Gerik brought a bottle of champagne to celebrate. We had lots of fun popping it on the rooftop! A bottle of champagne is a great prop if you aren’t sure of anything else to bring to your session. Popping a bottle of champagne at sunset not only creates beautiful images, but is also a fun memory to make together.
