How did the White Crow Wedding Venue become the backdrop of Alison and Neal’s engagement session? It started like this – Alison and Neal contacted us from their warm home in Florida while we were bundled up on the couch here in North Carolina. They were so excited about their upcoming destination wedding in Asheville. They hoped to schedule their photographer and squeeze in an engagement session before the big day. We LOVE going to the mountains! We quickly got to work planning their engagement session and decided on a beautiful spot along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
On our chilly drive out to the mountains, Neal called us with some interesting news – the Parkway was still closed from the snow storm we’d had a few weeks ago. They were willing to drive closer to us in Winston, but I knew having the mountains in the background was very important to Alison. I racked my brain trying to think of some last minute locations. Suddenly I remembered the White Crow was close by! I connected with Kelli, the owner of the White Crow Wedding Venue. I had just been there a few months before for a styled shoot and fell in love with the design of the venue and the gorgeous 360 degree views of the mountains.
Kelli told us that we were more than welcome to have our engagement session there. With a quick reroute on our GPS, we were there in no time! Kelli left the heat on for us so we could warm up and take breaks during the session. Alison was so happy to have a location with mountains and even a little snow!
