This Fun, Festive Summer Wedding at Willstella Farm in Kernersville NC Kicked Off Our Summer Wedding Season with Lots of Love and Laughter

As a photographer, I have had the pleasure of capturing many beautiful moments and memories, but Lindsay and Gerik’s summer wedding at Willstella Farm in Kernersville, North Carolina, was truly special. From the bright wildflower color palette to the stunning lace gown and boho-inspired details, their wedding was a feast for the eyes and a joy to photograph.

The Venue – Willstella Farm

Willstella Farm was the perfect setting for Lindsay and Gerik’s wedding day. The idyllic farm provided a beautiful and rustic backdrop for the couple’s nuptials. With its sweeping fields, beautiful rustic barn, and charming farmhouse, Willstella Farm offered endless possibilities for capturing beautiful photos of the couple and their wedding party. More importantly, Lindsay has a personal connection to the land. The venue is situated on what was her family’s farm land generations ago. 

Getting Ready in the Old Farm House

Lindsay and Gerik got ready for their wedding in the old farm house at Willstella Farm. The rustic charm of the old house added to the overall feel of the wedding, and the relaxed atmosphere was the perfect setting for the happy couple to prepare for their big day. The candid moments captured during the getting ready process were some of the most memorable and heartfelt of the entire wedding day.

The Bride’s Stunning Lace Gown and Boho-Inspired Details

Lindsay’s wedding dress by Sachin & Babi was a beautiful lace gown with a boho-inspired flair. The intricate details of the lace were a stunning complement to the bright wildflowers and rustic charm of Willstella Farm. The bride’s boho-inspired details,  including her hair and makeup by I Do Style, added romantic touch to her overall look. 

The Colorful Wildflower Palette

One of the most striking elements of Lindsay and Gerik’s wedding was the bright and bold color palette of wildflowers. The vibrant colors of the flowers were incorporated into every aspect of the wedding, from the bridal bouquet to the reception centerpieces. The color added a playful and whimsical touch to the festivities, creating a joyful and celebratory atmosphere. The floral pieces were designed by Blossoms Florist and Bakery of Greensboro. 

Incorporating Color into the Wedding Cake

Lindsay and Gerik’s wedding cake was a true masterpiece. I’m obsessed with the cake and the baker, Miri Nadler Cakes! The stunning confection was decorated with wildflowers that matched the vibrant colors of the rest of the wedding, creating a cohesive and playful look. The intricate details of the cake were a testament to the skill and creativity of the baker, who truly brought Lindsey and Gerik’s vision to life. 

The rest of the food was just as good! Instead of traditional catering, Lindsay and Gerik opted for food trucks! Taqueria Luciano Restaurant and Camel City BBQ provided the couple and their guests with some of the most delicious food we have ever had at a wedding! We are loving this food truck trend. 

The Fun Wedding Party and Family

Lindsay and Gerik’s wedding party and family were an absolute joy to photograph. The infectious laughter and joyous spirit of everyone involved added to the overall celebratory atmosphere of the day. From the bridesmaids’ colorful dresses to the groomsmen’s playful socks, every member of the wedding party was a delight to work with and capture in photos.

The Best Summer Wedding at Willstella Farm

Lindsay and Gerik’s wedding at Willstella Farm in Kernersville, North Carolina, was a truly special event. The beautiful venue, bright wildflower color palette, stunning lace gown and boho-inspired details, and playful wedding party and family made for a joyful and memorable day. TK the DJ kept the party going well into the evening! As a photographer, it was an honor to capture these beautiful moments and memories for Lindsay and Gerik to cherish for a lifetime.
