A Historic Venue: Salubria in Locust Grove, Virginia
Nestled in Locust Grove, Virginia, the historic Salubria manor offers a breathtaking backdrop for any event, especially a wedding. According to the Germanna Foundation, Salubria is an 18th-century Georgian-style manor house built around 1757. It was originally constructed for Reverend John Thompson. The house witnessed the growth of the Piedmont frontier. It played host to notable figures like Thomas Jefferson and the Marquis de Lafayette. A later owner, James Hansbrough, gave the property the name Salubria in the early 1800s. It means “healthful” in Latin. Despite the passage of time and the upheavals of history, the interior of Salubria has remained remarkably unchanged. It provided a perfect canvas for a Bridgerton-inspired wedding shoot.
