Jasmine and Matthew’s wedding day on Bald Head Island was the kind of coastal celebration dreams are made of. Their wedding held many personal touches, sentimental moments, and an undeniable love that could be felt by every guest. As their Bald Head Island wedding photographer, we were thrilled to capture a weekend full of meaning, beauty, and effortless joy.
For Jasmine, Bald Head Island isn’t just a pretty place. It is an important part of her childhood. Her family has vacationed there for years, and when Matt proposed on the island in October, it felt surreal. She had always dreamed of getting married here. On June 8, 2024, surrounded by family and friends, that dream came true.
The ceremony took place at the Village Chapel of Bald Head Island, a charming little chapel with peaceful marsh views. Afterward, guests made their way to the Bald Head Island Club, where the celebration continued just steps from the beach.
The couple chose a theme that fit the island perfectly: relaxed coastal. Their décor embraced soft, organic details that didn’t compete with the natural surroundings but enhanced them. Wild by Nature, LLC designed florals that brought in natural textures and soft tones. It all felt breezy, elegant, and timeless—just like their love story.
Planner Shauna from Shauna Loves Planning helped bring their vision to life with effortless style and care. DJ Atlantic Premier kept the energy high all evening! Jasmine and Matthew carefully curated over a dance playlist over several months and he executed it perfectly!
While Jasmine doesn’t love being in the spotlight, one of her favorite memories was right after the ceremony. The nerves had settled, and she could finally soak it all in. The quiet joy of being married, the laughter from guests, and the feeling of their families becoming one—it was everything they hoped it would be.
Their vows were intimate and genuine. They looked forward most to exchanging those words and celebrating the unity of their two families.
The reception was full of energy and joy. Parent dances were especially important to the couple, and watching those moments unfold was incredibly moving. From there, it was all about the fun.
Guests raved about the food. Chicken and waffle bites were the standout appetizer, while short ribs, ginger poached salmon, and sweet potato gnocchi made the dinner unforgettable. The dessert bar was the perfect sweet ending, with lemon bars, chocolate creme puffs, and strawberry shortcakes.
The bar featured signature cocktails named after their dogs! Bolo was a berry bourbon smash and Tuti, a fruity spiked lemonade. It was such a fun, personal detail that had everyone smiling.
From the start, Jasmine and Matthew knew they wanted timeless wedding photos. They didn’t want trendy or over-edited—they wanted classic, genuine, and full of life. They said it was our colors, editing style, and real connection that made them feel confident and excited to work with us.
We’re so grateful they chose us to capture not only their wedding day, but also their engagement session. It’s always an honor when couples return to us for milestone moments.
This beautiful wedding on Bald Head Island was a perfect reflection of the couple’s love, their story, and their shared values. The chapel and the island club venues worked together seamlessly to create an elevated yet relaxed vibe. Jasmine and Matthew truly made the day their own.
