A Fall Wedding Full of Meaningful Details
When Cassidy and Brice first reached out, they told us they were a little nervous about being in front of the camera. They didn’t love posing and hoped the photos could feel natural and fun. So we focused on what mattered most to them: connection, comfort, and celebration. We helped them feel at ease and guided them through relaxed portraits. We captured the little moments that made their day feel personal.
Their biggest photo request was a portrait with the lake and fountain in the background. That quiet garden spot became one of the most peaceful parts of the day. It gave them a moment to slow down before heading into the ceremony.
Throughout the entire wedding, their personalities showed up in thoughtful and heartfelt ways. A few of our favorites:
- Cassidy walked down the aisle to a string duo playing “Concerning Hobbits.” It is a meaningful nod to her dad and their shared love of The Lord of the Rings
- They used the same sword Cassidy’s parents used at their own wedding to cut the cake, creating a powerful moment of family connection
- Their beloved cat, Gimli, who passed last year, was remembered with a signature drink in his honor
Every detail told a piece of their story.
A Beautiful Garden Ceremony and Joyful Reception
Cassidy and Brice fell in love with Covington Gardens because it gave them everything they were looking for. Outdoor ceremony space, beautiful natural scenery, and a cozy backup plan just in case. The gardens were glowing with fall light, and the twinkle-lit tent created the perfect transition from a heartfelt ceremony to a dance-filled reception.
They wanted their guests to walk away remembering how much fun they had, and we can confidently say they pulled that off. Cassidy and her mom wore sneakers with light-up laces. Glow sticks and LED glasses filled the dance floor. Their family and friends brought the energy and didn’t let up until the very last song.
That final song? Everyone gathered in a circle around the couple to sing “Country Roads,” a West Virginia tradition that brought the day to a close with pure emotion. It was one of those moments you don’t forget.
What We’ll Always Remember
One of the highlights for us was surprising Cassidy and Brice with a slideshow of sneak peeks during their reception. Watching their reactions, and hearing the cheers from their guests as the photos played, was a reminder of how important it is to be fully present in these once-in-a-lifetime moments.
