Some wedding days are pure magic, not because everything goes perfectly, but because of how love transforms every unexpected moment. Tom and Landon’s Waxhaw North Carolina wedding at New Town Farms was one of those celebrations that reminded us why we adore what we do. Their day was filled with laughter, heartfelt emotion, and the kind of serendipity that feels written in the stars.
We had the honor of photographing this wedding for our friend Christan of In Bloom Photography, and it was a joy from start to finish.

Tom and Landon’s love story began years ago on the West Coast. At first, they were simply neighbors—two lives moving parallel without quite intersecting. But fate had other plans.
A few years later, they met again on a ski trip. This time, something clicked. Between snow-covered mountains and laughter-filled days, their friendship deepened into something undeniable. From that moment, they were inseparable.
Their story reminds us that love often arrives when the timing is just right. It’s a beautiful testament to patience, connection, and the quiet ways life leads us exactly where we’re meant to be.

When it came time to plan their wedding, Tom and Landon wanted a location that felt personal. During the Covid lockdowns, they became close with a neighbor who mentioned that their family owned a farm property in Waxhaw, North Carolina. As soon as they heard about it, they knew it was the perfect place to say “I do.”
Nestled among tall trees and open fields, New Town Farms offered a serene and intimate setting for their celebration. The property’s rustic charm and natural beauty made it feel like an escape from the world—peaceful, private, and deeply romantic.

Unlike many couples who choose to get ready separately, Tom and Landon spent their wedding morning together. The quiet hours before the ceremony were filled with laughter, champagne toasts, and calm anticipation.
The two looked effortlessly stylish in their Gucci tuxedos and matching Tiffany & Co. rings, a perfect reflection of their refined yet playful personalities. Their look struck a balance between modern fashion and classic sophistication—proof that style can be both expressive and elegant.

Just before the ceremony, the sky began to darken, and the sound of rain echoed across the fields. Within moments, it was pouring. Instead of disappointment, the couple embraced the change with grace.
Their ceremony was quickly moved under a tent, where the rain created a soft, rhythmic backdrop as guests gathered close. The sound of laughter and raindrops blended together, reminding everyone that love doesn’t wait for perfect weather.
The rain didn’t dampen the joy—it amplified it. It felt symbolic of the kind of love that thrives no matter what storms come its way.

As if on cue, the rain paused just long enough for a few portraits after the ceremony. Tom and Landon walked hand in hand beneath the towering trees, surrounded by mist and golden light breaking through the clouds.
It was one of those fleeting, cinematic moments that photographers dream of—soft light, quiet connection, and a landscape that felt almost enchanted. Those portraits captured the essence of their day: resilience, intimacy, and beauty found in the unexpected.

Once the newlyweds entered their reception tent, the energy shifted from calm to pure celebration. A live band set the tone for an evening full of dancing, laughter, and heartfelt moments.
One of the highlights of the night was a surprise performance that no one will forget. Landon and Tom’s friend with a background on Broadway performed a special rendition of “Pink Pony Club.” Landon re-wrote this special version of the song to reflect their love story. Unbeknownst to the couple, their guests had prepared a surprise of their own. The dance floor erupted in laughter and cheers when friends appeared with inflatable pink pony hobby horses and cowboy hats, turning the song into a joyful, hilarious tribute to the couple’s journey together.
It was the perfect finale to a night that celebrated love in all its forms—unfiltered, joyful, and completely them.

Every wedding we photograph is special, but some linger in our hearts long after the last song plays. This one was unforgettable for so many reasons—the way the couple supported each other through the rain, the laughter that filled the air, and the deep connection between everyone present.
Tom and Landon’s Waxhaw North Carolina wedding reminded us that love isn’t about perfection. It’s about choosing each other every day, no matter what the forecast looks like.
