Most couples think about how their wedding will look.
Paige and Will cared just as much about how it would feel.
From the very beginning, their vision for their wedding at Reynolda Gardens centered on presence. They wanted space to enjoy their families, move through the day without rushing, and trust that every detail was being handled with care.
With Perfect Peony Events guiding the planning process, the foundation for a calm, intentional experience was already in place. Our role as photographers was to protect that experience and ensure photography supported the flow of the day rather than interrupting it.

Reynolda Gardens was not just a beautiful backdrop. It was part of their story.
Years earlier, while they were still in college, Paige and Will wandered through Reynolda Village on a date. As they walked the gardens together, they both paused and said the same thing. This would be the most beautiful place to get married. Six years later, they returned to that same space to exchange vows.
The conservatory served as the ceremony backdrop, glowing in the spring sunlight. Guests gathered along the garden paths, surrounded by new blooms and fresh greenery. The setting felt open, peaceful, and deeply personal.

Reynolda Gardens is a property that invites guests to slow down. The paths, the open green spaces, and the historic architecture naturally encourage wandering and connection. But that same openness can easily create challenges if photography is not thoughtfully integrated.
Without a clear plan, portraits can stretch too long. Transitions can feel scattered. Couples can feel pulled away from their guests without realizing how much time has passed.
Protecting the client experience means understanding the property just as much as the timeline.

Paige describes herself as a grandmother at heart, and her vision leaned into vintage charm with warmth and personality. Patinaed brass details, whimsical florals, and handmade décor created the feeling of a garden party in a beloved family backyard.
Sentiment wove through the day in quiet ways.
Paige had something blue stitched inside her dress.
Handkerchiefs with handwritten messages were gifted to parents and grandparents.
A unity candle ceremony honored their commitment and the families who shaped them.
Each detail felt purposeful, not performative.

The calm Paige and Will felt throughout the day did not happen by chance.
Together with Perfect Peony Events, we reviewed the timeline in advance. Portrait windows were mapped intentionally. Family groupings were finalized early. Locations within the gardens were chosen based on light, proximity, and flow.
Nothing important was left to be decided on the wedding day.
That preparation meant Paige and Will never felt rushed or pulled away. When transitions happened, they felt natural. When moments unfolded, they were uninterrupted.

One of the most important aspects of protecting the client experience is knowing when to lead and when to step back.
Perfect Peony Events guided the overall flow of the day. Our role was to work within that structure, watching for cues, anticipating transitions, and adjusting quietly when needed.
Portraits were contained within clearly defined windows. We never pulled Paige and Will away without intention. When guests were gathering, we allowed moments to unfold naturally.
Some of the most meaningful images came from moments in between. Laughter during cocktail hour. Conversations with family. The ease of being surrounded by people who love you.

Paige and Will spent more time laughing with friends and hugging family than watching the clock. That was intentional.
Portraits were efficient and focused. Buffer was built into the timeline so no moment felt rushed. When the ceremony ended, they were able to move seamlessly into celebration instead of feeling like they needed to disappear for photos.
Photography supported their presence instead of competing with it.

After the wedding, Paige shared that photography was their main priority from the beginning. More than anything, they wanted their day captured with care, heart, and intention.
She spoke about feeling supported, surprised, and deeply grateful for an experience that went beyond expectations. The kind of experience where nothing felt rushed, and everything felt considered.
That trust is never taken lightly. At the end of the day, Paige and Will did not talk about how many portraits they took. They talked about how calm the day felt.
That is the difference experience protection makes.
At properties like Reynolda Gardens, where beauty and history set the tone, thoughtful collaboration between planner and photographer allows couples to fully live the day they worked so hard to plan.
