Drew and Nichole starting looking for wedding venues before they were technically engaged. When they stepped onto the property at The Ivy Place, they fell in love. As they walked toward the back of the 33 acres, they saw the huge oak tree standing tall in the middle of the field and just knew that was the magic spot. They decided that they would be married under that oak tree.
When we talked with Drew and Nichole during our initial consultation you could feel the excitement as they described the venue. Later, when we were planning their engagement session, they insisted we use the Ivy Place before heading to Downtown Waxhaw for a few more photos and dinner.
Upon Arriving at the Ivy Place, we understood what they had been saying – It was beautiful! Not just the fields and barns, but also the stately farmhouse where Nichole will be getting ready on her wedding day, and the beautifully manicured gardens around the house – they all showed a great deal of care has been placed into this venue.
Getting to know The Ivy Place and Nichole and Drew was so special. They are the sweetest couple with lots of big dreams. After the session, they even treated us to dinner at their favorite Irish Pub, Mary O’Neils, in downtown Waxhaw. We had wonderful food and even better conversation. We truly can’t wait for their wedding in April and to spend this special time with them!
