“I’m on my way
Driving at ninety down those country lanes
Singing to “Tiny Dancer”
And I miss the way you make me feel, and it’s real
We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill”
Every time I hear it I am back in my car driving over the hills and through the mountains down 311 heading home.
I don’t live in those beautiful mountains anymore. We moved just a little farther south where it is a little flatter and a little warmer to chase a few dreams, but I always love it when I’m going home. A little piece of my heart will always be there. I didn’t know it then, but growing up in a small town and in a small high school was a blessing. That is why it is so important for me to stay connected to my roots. I wanted to offer something special to all of those high school seniors back home to help commemorate this really special time.
In just a few weeks, we will be offering two special mini-session events that focus on high-school seniors. The first event will be in Downtown Roanoke on September 16. We will be shooting in the morning starting at 7 and will continue until 11, so spots will fill up quickly.
The second will be exclusive for CCHS seniors in New Castle. We will stars at 4 and continue until 8:30. During the later sessions we will be able to play with some really fun and dramatic lighting that is perfect for athletes! Again, these spaces will fill up quickly.
I am so excited to be going home for these sessions for so many amazing students.
