Looking Glass Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen. The best part of these falls is how accessible it is for just about anyone. The falls can be seen from the road and there are stairs leading to the bottom. We arrived to this spot on a cold, winter morning for these images, but it was so worth it. It had been raining for days leading up to this, so the water level was high and the falls were particularly relentless. I lost count of how many times I had to dry off my lens! It’s all part of the job for Asheville Engagement Photographers.
Becca and Spencer were troopers. They are from Florida and not used to this cold! They came all the way here for these photos at Looking Glass Falls. Becca is an amazing event stylist that curates workshops for photographers and vendors. You can learn more about her and her company Glamour and Grind here. Want to know a secret?? Becca and Spencer weren’t even supposed to be in this shoot! We had another couple that was supposed to come out for the workshop and they couldn’t make it! Becca and Spencer jumped in at the last minute to make sure we had some great shots at these falls.
Like I said, it was sooooo cold! But I won’t complain because right now it is very, very hot in North Carolina. I’m so ready for the cooler fall weather to get here! Reminiscing over these photos make me ready to go hiking and camping without all of the humidity! After this shoot we explored a few more waterfalls in the area. I had really hoped to get back Asheville this summer, but I haven’t been able to yet. We are definitely getting out there this fall. Josh didn’t make it out to this shoot with me, so I absolutely want to show him these gorgeous views!
