Downtown Lynchburg holds a special place in our hearts. It is the city where Josh and I met when we I was a senior in high school. It is also a very special place for Katlyn and Hayden. Katlyn is a Liberty University Graduate and Hayden graduated from VMI. They met here at the start of the pandemic and it has been a special place for them ever since. When they told us this is where they wanted to have their engagement session in Downtown Lynchburg, we were very excited!
Catching the sunset was very important to Katlyn. She told me Lynchburg has the most beautiful sunsets, and I couldn’t agree more! We started their session by the James River in and slowly made our way up hill to catch the sunset on the parking deck. They don’t call Lynchburg the Hill City for nothing!
An Engagement Session in Downtown Lynchburg isn’t complete without a visit to Monument Terrace. This beautiful landmark is the perfect backdrop. The sun sets behind this hill, creating the most beautiful, glowing light.
As we made our way up the hill, we stumbled up these perfect doors. They belong to a historic church, which is now home to the First Unitarian Church in Lynchburg.
One of our favorite prompts we love to give our couples is called the slingshot. We will ask you to grab your partners hand and slingshot them forward toward the camera. You will then run up to join them and then they slingshot you forward! We do this a few times and it always brings the best belly laughs!
