A Scenic Adventure for a Maternity Session on Rough Ridge Trail
Nestled along the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Rough Ridge Trail awaited us, promising a captivating experience. The trail offered a short but steep hike, leading us to the first set of stone lookouts. As we ascended, the trail unfolded its charm, revealing stunning views of the sprawling valley and the majestic silhouette of Grandfather Mountain. Haley found the her dream dress online and the soft blue fabric looked beautiful against the warm sky.
Facing Challenges for the Perfect Photos
On the day of the session, nature presented us with a challenge—a chilly and windy weather that demanded resilience. But adversity often leads to the most remarkable moments, and we embraced the elements, knowing they would add a touch of rawness to the images. As the wind pulled Haley’s dress in all directions, her radiant smile shone even brighter. Haley’s baby bump stood in beautiful contrast to the rugged mountain backdrop. Making a Tough Call
We wanted to stay longer for the beautiful sunset, but we have to make the tough call for the sake of safety. After creating a collection of breathtaking images on Rough Ridge Trail, we decided to head down the Blue Ridge Parkway to Moses Cone Park for our final portraits. The park, with its sprawling meadows and charming walking trails, provided a serene and picturesque setting to conclude the session. The change of scenery allowed Haley and Josiah to revel in the peacefulness of the moment, their anticipation heightened by the beauty that surrounded them.
