We are are so excited to share our first wedding of 2023! Megan and Justin married April 1st at Forsyth Barn Wedding at Legacy Stables and Events. This stunning venue, nestled amidst the picturesque countryside, provided the perfect backdrop for their dream wedding.
Choosing the Forsyth Barn Legacy Stables for Their Wedding
Megan and Justin fell in love with the enchanting charm of Legacy Stables and Events. It was no surprise that they chose the Forsyth Barn as their wedding venue. With its rustic elegance, the Forsyth Barn exuded warmth and character, making it an ideal setting for their celebration. The venue’s breathtaking natural surroundings, captivated the bride and groom, including the rolling meadows and majestic trees.
The Forsyth Barn is a beautifully restored historic barn that offers a seamless blend of rustic allure and modern amenities. The spacious interiors and high ceilings provided a sense of grandeur. The rustic wooden beams and soft lighting created an intimate ambiance. The venue’s versatile layout allowed for the ceremony and reception to be held indoors. This ensured a seamless transition for the couple and their guests. In addition to the Barn, the groom and his groomsmen used the rustic cabin for their getting ready area.
The Floral Wedding Arc Surprise in the Forsyth Barn
Megan’s mother, with the help of the talented planner and florist Brandy from Beyond Special Events, orchestrated a beautiful surprise for the bride. Behind the sweetheart table, a magnificent floral arch adorned with delicate white blooms and lush greenery stood, creating a breathtaking focal point. The arch symbolized the love and support surrounding the couple on their special day. After entering the room, Megan was moved to tears!
Unique Touches
Megan and Justin infused their wedding with personalized touches that made the day truly unforgettable. Their beloved dog was hidden in their wedding cake. The cake, a masterpiece by a Sweet P’s Bakery and Desserts, featured their labrador peaking out from underneath layers of frosting.
Another delightful twist was the couple’s choice to have a flower guy instead of a traditional flower girl. Topped with a curly wig and armed with a fanny pack of petals, he delighted everyone as he confidently scattered flowers down the aisle.
To add an element of surprise and joy, The Ice Queen’s ice cream truck was parked outside the barn. She served guests mouthwatering homemade ice cream in a variety of flavors. The sweet treat offered a delightful respite from the springtime warmth and added a touch of nostalgia to the festivities. Our personal favorite was the Cookies and Cream and Butter Pecan!
The Transformation from Rain to Sunshine
Mother Nature had a surprise of her own on this rainy April morning. As the preparations were underway, the heavens opened up and showers drenched the venue. Thankfully we had taken time to photograph Megan’s beautiful bridal portrait session at Legacy Stables the previous fall! Thankfully, rain clouds dissipated. The sun emerged just in time for Megan and Justin’s heartfelt vows. The dreary morning transformed into a beautiful, sunny spring afternoon. We had beautiful, glowy golden hour light. We were able to capture beautiful portraits of Megan and Justin as well as their sweet wedding party and family!

And in a twist of fate, the rainy morning turned into a sun-kissed afternoon, providing the perfect backdrop for the couple’s journey into wedded bliss. It was an honor to be part of such a magical celebration of love, and I will forever cherish the memories captured on Megan and Justin’s special day.
