The Threat of Spring Thunderstorms Didn’t Stop Us from Creating Beautiful Bridal Portraits for Emily at the Shiloh in Low Gap NC

We had the honor of photographing the radiant bride-to-be, Emily, amidst the picturesque beauty of the Shiloh in LowGap, North Carolina. As we arrived at Shiloh, the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains set the stage for a truly unforgettable experience. Emily, with her infectious smile and radiant energy, looked resplendent in her wedding gown. Falling in love with this dress by Demetrios, she knew it was the perfect embodiment of her vision.

Emily’s Bridal Portraits Look at the Shiloh

Choosing a gown for her wedding was not an easy choice, but as they say, third time’s a charm! Emily’s favorite part of her gown by Demetrios is its unique back.  She purchased her gown from Lily Mae’s Bridal. The intricate beadwork and delicate details showcase her Tiffany’s taste! This glam gown sparkled in the sun and hugged every curve perfectly! 

Brookside Flowers crafted Emily’s bouquet, a beautiful complement to her dress.  The bouquet featured beautiful greenery and full, white and pink roses and peonies. Her bridal look was completed with beautiful hair and makeup by her friends Carlie and Charman. 

Thunderstorms on the Horizon

Despite the looming threat of strong thunderstorms in the forecast, we made the collective decision to move forward with the session. Little did we know that this would result in an unexpected stroke of luck. As the clouds gathered overhead, the atmosphere became charged with an enchanting energy. The shifting skies created a breathtaking backdrop. The dark clouds blended with rays of sunlight to cast a beautiful glow across the mountain range. 

We watched in awe as the storm moved around us, teasing with its dramatic presence. It seemed as though nature itself was rejoicing in Emily’s love story. The atmosphere grew electric, heightening the anticipation and adding an element of mystique to each photograph captured. The combination of Emily’s grace, the stunning scenery, and the brewing storm created an ethereal ambiance that cannot be replicated.

As we wrapped up the session, the rainclouds chased us back to the shelter of our car. The heavens opened up, and rain poured relentlessly on the journey home. In that moment, we realized how lucky we were to have pushed forward, embracing the uncertainty of the weather. The beauty we captured that day went beyond the visual; it encapsulated the adventurous spirit and unwavering love that Emily and Bryce share.

Emily’s bridal portraits session at the Shiloh was a testament to the power of love, perseverance, and embracing the unexpected. It showcased the magic that can unfold when a bride’s dreams intertwine with nature’s own beauty.
