Josh and Ashley’s Wedding Day that Began at the North Carolina Temple in Raleigh and Ended at Reynolda Village in Winston Salem was a Beautiful July Celebration
Before Josh and Ashely celebrated their wedding last July at Reynolda Village, they were college sweethearts at Brigham Young University. The couple shares a devotion to their faith. They had always dreamed of being married in the temple. They chose to hold their reception back in Winston Salem, Ashley’s hometown.
Unique Wedding Preparations
Planning a wedding from a distance can be quite a challenge, but with the help of Ashley’s thoughtful and caring mother, everything came together seamlessly. Ashley’s booked us for the big day. This ensured every precious moment would be captured beautifully. She also helped the couple secure the venue and catering. Meanwhile, Ashley found her beautiful and modest gown at Brilliant B Bridal in Utah.
The Emotional First Look at a July Wedding at Reynolda Village
Because of the unique timeline of the wedding day, we scheduled an intimate couple’s portrait session the day before the wedding ceremony. This emotional first look between Josh and Ashley marked this moment as a day they would never forget. . When they saw each other in their wedding attire for the first time, their eyes filled with tears of joy.
The Sacred Ceremony at the Raleigh North
The following day, we gathered at the Raleigh North Carolina Temple. There, Josh and Ashley’s dream of being married in the temple was fulfilled. The wedding ceremony is deeply sacred in the Mormon faith where we were respectfully ask not to enter the temple, as we are not part of the church. However, after the ceremony, we captured their celebratory exit from the temple as husband and wife.
Josh and Ashley’s devotion to family was evident throughout the day. They requested some cherished family portraits around the temple, capturing the love and warmth shared between generations. After the sacred ceremony, the couple returned to Winston Salem for their wedding reception at the Barn at Reynolda Village.
A Dreamy Reception
The reception venue was adorned with breathtaking floral arrangements by Green Bee Floral Designs. The blush pink, green, and white blooms created a dreamy and romantic ambiance, perfectly complementing the couple’s love story. The newlyweds enjoyed a heartwarming meal with their families, creating beautiful memories to cherish forever. As a special favor for the guests, they shared a smores bar and their favorite treats for the guests: His favorites (candy kisses), her favorites (chocolate covered pretzels and jellybean starbursts because Ashley cant just pick one!).
As the night drew to a close, Josh and Ashley bid farewell to their guests in the most whimsical manner. Everyone cheered as they exited the reception, waving fiber optic wands that lit up the night sky with a magical glow, symbolizing the bright future that awaited the couple.
