We have had the pleasure of capturing many beautiful weddings throughout our careers, but Kirsten and Dylan’s Spring Wedding at The Longhouse in Stokesdale, North Carolina was truly unforgettable. The Longhouse is a stunning venue. We always love working with Kirsten and Dylan’s day-of coordinator, Tanya from Blueprints Coordination, who did an exceptional job bringing everything together.
Kirsten looked stunning in her fairy-tale wedding gown from Magnolia Bride. The gown was covered in sparkles and draped off of her shoulders. The groomsmen dressed in classic black suits, providing a handsome and sophisticated contrast to Kirsten’s whimsical dress. The bridesmaids wore unique green dresses that added a pop of color to the wedding party. Susan Daly of Daly Floral Design filled Kirsten’s bouquet with fragrant purple florals, including stunning irises.
The Longhouse offers a beautiful, rustic setting for weddings, and Kirsten and Dylan’s Spring Wedding was no exception. Before the ceremony, Kirsten shared a first look with her parents and then with Dylan. Beautiful, happy tears abounded! The venue’s natural beauty was on display. Dogwoods and redbuds were in full bloom. We took the couple to capture photographs around the property right after their first look.
Beautiful purple flowers and lush greenery were draped over the arbor in front of a large oak tree. It made the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. During the processional, a very special ring BEARer brought down their wedding rings! Loving family and friends looked on as Kirsten and Dylan exchanged their vows and celebrated their new marriage. After the I-Do’s were said, we gathered the family for formal portraits. Since it was Easter weekend, Dylan and Kirsten created a fun Easter egg hunt for all of the children in attendance.
After the ceremony, the guests found their seats in the spacious House, beautifully decorated with string lights and rustic details. The indoor space provided a warm and elegant space for their reception, accommodating their guests comfortably with family-style seating. The tables were filled with classic bud vases full of purple and white flowers. Kirsten’s brother also treated the new couple to a special song he wrote just for them. Tanya worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly, from the speeches to the first dance.
As professional photographers, we were honored to capture every moment of Kirsten and Dylan’s Spring Wedding at The Longhouse. If you’re planning a wedding in North Carolina, we highly recommend The Longhouse in Stokesdale, with the help of a day-of coordinator like Blueprints Coordination. The Longhouse offers a beautiful and elegant space for your ceremony and reception, and with expert coordination, you can relax and enjoy every moment of your special day.
