October Engagement at Hanging Rock | Carly and Adam

October is a huge month for engagement sessions, especially at parks like Hanging Rock. Let’s be honest, October is a huge month for photographers, period! Last year October was our busiest month all year, so we were thankful that this October was a little slower. Hanging Rock is one of the most popular places couples ask us to venture out to for engagement photos. When couples ask us to create a session there, we recommend going on a Sunday-Thursday evening. It is always a popular spot for outdoor adventures, but going during those times will drastically cut down on people in your background! Most couples also request the waterfalls, particularly the upper and lower cascades. We also recommend the peak for amazing epic shots!

This October we photographed Carly and Adam’s wedding. While we are editing their photos, I thought it would be great to go back and share these sweet photos from their engagement session.

Carly and Adam are so kind. They are very thoughtful towards the people around them, and also with each other. They are one of our more reserved couples, which I always love, because I (Alisha) am not reserved. I make it my personal mission to always keep the conversation going. I do tend to worry that I can be overwhelming, but clients like Carly and Adam always reassure me that the energy I bring helps them feel comfortable and excited during their session.
