Late summer in Clemmons, North Carolina marked the ideal setting for a bridal session that bridged the gap between the warmth of summer and the cozy embrace of fall. It was a return to a familiar place, one we had visited a few years ago for her sister’s springtime bridal portraits. This time, it was Victoria’s turn to shine. Her sister had an additional role to play as the talented florist behind the beautiful bouquet that would be featured in the photos.
Victoria had a vision for her bridal session. It revolved around capturing the enchanting golden hour light in the various corners of Tanglewood Park. We started our photographic journey in the lush gardens behind the majestic manor house. The late summer blooms and vibrant colors created a backdrop that perfectly complemented Victoria’s grace and elegance. The play of sunlight through the leaves added a touch of magic to every shot.
As we continued our session, we made our way to the stables, expecting to find a charming rustic atmosphere. What we didn’t expect was a delightful surprise in the form of some unexpected guests. A resident horse, contentedly grazing in the pasture, caught our attention. It wasn’t long before a herd of white-tailed deer joined us. Their graceful presence adding an extra layer of enchantment to the shoot. Victoria was the epitome of grace and poise, even in the company of these unexpected visitors.
Our journey through Tanglewood Park concluded at a tranquil dirt road. It is hidden away just off the beaten path behind the barns. It was the perfect location for capturing the final moments of the golden hour. The sun began its descent towards the horizon. The soft, warm light created a serene and ethereal ambiance, wrapping Victoria in a radiant glow. Against this backdrop, she looked like a vision from a dream.
As a photographer, it’s moments like these that make me fall in love with my craft all over again. Capturing the essence of a bride’s personality and the beauty of nature coming together in perfect harmony is an unforgettable experience. Victoria’s bridal session at Tanglewood Park was not just a transition from summer to fall; it was a transition into a lifetime of love and happiness. It was a day filled with laughter, unexpected guests, and golden hour magic—a day that will forever be etched in the photographs we created.
Victoria’s choice of attire, a stunning white gown with intricate lace details, was a perfect match for the rustic surroundings. Her sister’s bouquet, a masterpiece of floral artistry, added a pop of color to the earthy tones of the setting.
Tanglewood Park, with its timeless charm and natural beauty, provided the ideal canvas for creating memories that will last a lifetime. Victoria’s bridal session was a reminder that sometimes, the most magical moments happen when you least expect them, and it’s my privilege as a photographer to be there to capture them.
As we bid adieu to late summer and welcomed the approaching fall wedding season, Victoria’s bridal session was a testament to the beauty that lies in the transition between seasons and the love that blooms in every moment.
