Summers are warm, but this is when most people travel to the Outer Banks. Summer crowds can make photographing beautiful spots difficult. Winter in the Outer Banks is not crowded, but can get cold. The best time to plan your session, based on our experience, is spring (not during spring break week!) and early to mid fall.

The Outer Banks is a treasure trove of picturesque spots, and I’m thrilled to explore them with you. Jockey’s Ridge is one of our favorite locations, but here are a few other to consider:
